Gartner: Dicteria Proverbialia Rhythmica
Dicteria Proverbialia Rhythmica by Andreas Gartner (1598)
These rhyming proverbs are arranged by topic, with German translations. As with medieval rhyme in general, the rhymes are not always what we would call perfect rhyme - e.g., Scindo corrigias ex pelle tua mihi lata" where the rhyme is corrigias and latas. Even so, there is plenty of fabulous stuff in here - with things that sound like rhymes to us, too - e.g., Cum fortuna perit, nullus amicus erit.
