Brixianus: Epigrammata
Epigrammata by Faustus Sabaeus Brixianus (1556)
The five books of epigrams are as follows: primus de diis, secundus de heroibus, tertius de amicis, quartus de amoribus, et quintus de miscellaneis. Many of the poems are Latin imitations of Greek originals. Although the poems tend to be on the long side, I will be able to find some nice distichs here for sure. For example:
Omnia fert aetas, vafer et chronos omnia mutat:
Fortunam, speciem, corpus et ingenium.
